  • Handles 125 V AC at 7 A for safe operation
  • Copper conductors ensure reliable power delivery
  • PVC insulation protects against electric shock
  • Does not change voltage — match source to device

C14 to C5 IEC 320 power adapter for device

This adapter converts a C14 male inlet into a C5 female outlet, letting you connect equipment with a clover-leaf plug to a standard IEC power cord. It is built with copper conductors and PVC insulation for reliable indoor use. The unit carries a 125 V AC, 7 A rating and does not change voltage.

Suits users adapting a C14 source to a C5 device

It is not for anyone who needs voltage conversion or a higher current capacity than 7 A. Builders requiring a different connector pairing such as C14 to C13 should look elsewhere. The adapter simply re-shapes the connection without altering electrical characteristics.

125 V AC 7 A rating defines safe operating limits

Exceeding this rating risks overheating the PVC housing and copper contacts. The note on use explicitly states the plug does not convert voltage, so the supply must already match the device. Always confirm your equipment draws 7 A or less at 125 V before connecting.

Questions about this item

What cable do I need to plug into the C14 socket on this adapter?

You need a lead that ends in a C13 male connector, such as a typical PSU or UPS power cord.

Can I use this adapter with my older C13 power cord and a device that takes a C5 inlet?

Yes — the adapter accepts a C13 male plug on the input side and provides a C5 female socket on the output side.

How can I confirm the adapter is working once connected?

The attached device powers on normally and the adapter body stays cool during use.
