CFexpress Type-A adapter for NVME SSDs
This adapter lets you install a 2230 2240 2242 2260 or 2280 NVME drive into a CFexpress Type-A camera slot. It targets photographers and videographers who want to use off-the-shelf NVME storage for high-resolution capture. The kit ships without an SSD so you must supply your own drive. Compatibility is limited to cameras that accept CFexpress Type-A media.
PCIe Gen3x2 bus limits real-world throughput
The adapter connects the NVME drive through a PCIe Gen3x2 interface which caps the maximum theoretical bandwidth. Manufacturer figures quote read write speeds of up to 1000-6000MB/s but actual performance depends on the specific SSD the host camera and shooting conditions. The device will not function in CFexpress Type-B or XQD slots.
M-Key M.2 mounting with compact Type-A shell
The board uses an M-Key M.2 connector which accepts the listed drive lengths and secures them inside a CFexpress Type-A sized enclosure. This form factor allows the adapter to fit in dual-format slots that also take SD cards. No SSD or capacity is included so builders must provide a compatible NVME drive before use.

Questions about this item
Which M.2 lengths does the adapter accept?
The kit fits 2230, 2240, 2242, 2260 and 2280 M.2 Key M drives.
What does the 1000-6000 MB/s range mean in my camera?
That is the theoretical NVMe PCIe Gen3x2 ceiling; real throughput depends on the SSD you install and the camera's own controller.
Will the CFexpress Type-A slot limit my SSD's PCIe lanes?
The adapter runs NVMe PCIe Gen3x2, so an x4 drive will operate at half its potential lane count.
