USB 3.1 Gen 2 CFexpress Type-B Reader
This new LORDWORLD adapter connects CFexpress Type-B cards to host devices through USB 3.1 Gen 2 at up to 10 Gbps. It includes both a USB Type-A and a USB Type-C cable for direct attachment to PCs, desktops, Macs and iPads running Windows, macOS or Linux. Gold-plated contacts and a precision PCB support full PCIe 4.0 x2 card performance.
Suits CFexpress B workflows, not XQD or CFA
Photographers and videographers moving large HD video and photo libraries from CFexpress Type-B media will benefit from the 10 Gbps link. The reader does not accept XQD or CFA cards, so owners of those formats must use a different device. It also requires a host USB 3.0 or 3.1 port; older USB 2.0 ports will not deliver the rated throughput.
10 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface
The single specification that decides fit is the 10 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 host connection, which enables full CFexpress Type-B speed over PCIe 4.0 x2. If the host system only offers USB 3.0 at 5 Gbps, transfer rates will be limited to that lower ceiling.

Questions about this item
Does my computer need a USB 3.1 Gen 2 port to reach the 10Gbps speed?
The reader connects via USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C or Type-A and delivers up to 10Gbps when the host port supports USB 3.1 Gen 2.
Will my existing USB 3.0 ports work with this reader?
Yes, the reader is backward compatible with USB 3.0 ports, though transfer speeds will be limited to the USB 3.0 maximum.
How can I confirm the reader is operating at full CFexpress B speed after setup?
Run a large file transfer and verify sustained throughput approaching the 10Gbps link rate, which indicates PCIe 4.0 gen4x2 performance.
