  • Uses your own 2230 NVME SSD under 2.2mm thick

  • CFexpress Type B form factor withstands shock, moisture, X-rays and temperature extremes
  • Adapter kit design lets you install the SSD yourself for flexible capacity

CFexpress Type-B Adapter Kit

This adapter kit converts a 2230 NVME SSD into a CFexpress Type-B card for cameras that require the larger form factor. It is aimed at photographers and videographers who want to use compact SSDs in high-end DSLR, cinema or mirrorless bodies.

PCIe Gen3x2 Interface and 2.2 mm Thickness Limit

The kit uses a PCIe Gen3x2 bus and accepts any 2230 NVME drive thinner than 2.2 mm; thicker modules will not fit. No storage is included, so the builder must supply a compatible SSD, and the host camera must support CFexpress Type-B with NVME signalling.

Shockproof and Temperature-Resistant Construction

The assembled card is rated shockproof, anti-magnetic, moisture-proof, X-ray-proof and resistant to extreme cold and heat. This ruggedisation protects the installed SSD during demanding shoots without adding active cooling or increasing power draw beyond the drive itself.

Questions about this item

What sustained write speed can I expect before the adapter hits its thermal limit?

The adapter supports up to 2000 MB/s, but actual sustained speed depends on the installed 2230 NVME SSD, the camera host, and workload conditions.

Does the adapter get hot or noisy during all-day 8K RAW recording?

The CFexpress Type B shell is rated shockproof, moisture-proof, X-ray proof, and resistant to extreme temperatures, with no moving parts to generate noise.

Which 2230 NVME SSD do I need to supply for this kit to work?

You must provide a 2230 NVME SSD no thicker than 2.2 mm; the kit contains no storage of its own.
