A 7 inch IPS touch display with 1024 × 600 resolution, adjustable backlight and 170° viewing angle for ESP32-S3 development
The LORDWORLD ESP32-S3 board combines a 1024×600 IPS LCD with a capacitive touch panel and an ESP32-S3 microcontroller. It targets makers building IoT edge devices that need local display and wireless connectivity. The 65K colour screen offers a 170° viewing angle for clear visibility in prototypes and finished projects.
Connect power, then flash firmware via the USB port using standard ESP32 toolchains. The board exposes sensor, CAN, RS485 and I2C headers for peripheral expansion. Miswiring the CAN or RS485 lines is the most frequent issue; verify pin assignments against the schematic before applying power. Backlight adjustment and lithium-battery voltage monitoring are handled in software.
The IPS panel maintains consistent colour and contrast during continuous operation. Backlight level can be dimmed in code to reduce heat and power draw over long runs. The ESP32-S3 runs Wi-Fi and Bluetooth BLE 5 radios alongside the display without thermal throttling under normal ambient conditions. Stable voltage regulation supports extended data-logging or HMI tasks.

The 1024×600 IPS panel should light up with a 170° viewing angle and show 65K colour; touch response on the capacitive layer verifies the display and controller are functional.
The development board itself is supplied; sensors, CAN, RS485 or I2C modules and a lithium cell for voltage monitoring are not included and must be purchased separately.
Select the Type B version; it is the upgraded variant that provides the 1024×600 resolution, adjustable backlight and lithium-battery voltage monitoring.
