An 8 MP IR-cut night-vision camera with 162° field of view for Jetson Nano and Raspberry Pi Compute Module boards
This camera module pairs an 8 megapixel IMX219 sensor with a 162 degree field of view and an IR-cut filter for day and night imaging. It connects to Jetson Nano Developer Kit B01, Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit and Raspberry Pi Compute Module CM3, CM3+ and CM4 boards. The unit is light and straightforward to integrate into edge AI projects.
The module suits engineers who need wide-angle coverage and automatic IR switching for tasks such as facial recognition, road marking detection or licence plate reading on the supported platforms. It does not suit builders who require a narrower field of view, a different sensor resolution or compatibility with boards outside the listed Jetson Nano and Compute Module families.
The 162 degree wide angle determines how much scene the camera captures in a single frame, while the IR-cut filter enables clear imaging across varying light conditions without manual intervention. This combination decides whether the module fits the spatial and lighting demands of your specific AI application.

The module connects via the standard CSI-2 ribbon cable interface found on the Jetson Nano Developer Kit B01, Jetson Nano 2GB Developer Kit, and Raspberry Pi Compute Module CM3, CM3+, and CM4 carrier boards.
After inserting the ribbon cable into the CSI port with the contacts facing the correct direction, you must enable the camera interface in the Jetson device tree or Raspberry Pi config.txt and reboot before the IMX219 sensor is detected.
Keep the lens and filter window free of dust using a dry air blower; the IR-cut filter is a fixed hardware component on this module and has no user-serviceable parts or replacement schedule.
