M.2 A+E Key to NVME M-Key Adapter

This adapter converts a motherboard M.2 A+E Key slot into an NVME M-Key connector. It enables the installation of NVME solid-state drives in positions originally intended for wireless modules. The kit includes two printed circuit boards and a 15cm flat cable for flexible placement inside the chassis.

PCIe lane and slot constraints

The host A+E Key interface provides PCIe and USB pathways but the adapter only routes PCIe lanes to the M-Key side. SATA-based M.2 drives are electrically incompatible and will not function. The 15cm cable length limits how far the drive can be positioned from the motherboard slot.

M-key NVME SSD form-factor support

The M-Key receptacle accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 length NVME drives. Builders needing to install a SATA M.2 drive or a B-key module must use a different adapter. Driver support is provided for Windows 8, 10 and 11.
