M.2 Key-M to A+E Adapter for NVMe SSDs
This adapter lets you install an M-key NVMe SSD into a laptop or board that only offers an A+E-key slot. It accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 length drives and works with Windows 8, 10 and 11.
Two-PCB Kit with Flexible Cable
The package includes two small circuit boards linked by a ribbon cable, so you can route the SSD away from the tight A+E socket. Only PCIe-based NVMe M-key drives are supported; B/M-key SATA SSDs will not function.
Check Your Slot and Drive Before Buying
Verify the host slot is a genuine A+E key with a single notch and that your SSD is an M-key NVMe module in one of the listed lengths. SATA M.2 drives and B-key devices are incompatible, and no other interface or form factor is supported.

Questions about this item
Does the M.2 Key A+E slot carry PCIe or USB for the NVMe drive?
The Key A+E slot provides a PCIe lane for the NVMe SSD; USB lines on that connector are not used by this adapter.
What length M.2 Key M SSDs can the onboard slot accept?
The Key M slot on the board fits 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 NVMe drives.
How is the adapter powered and where do installers go wrong?
Power comes through the Key A+E socket; the common mistake is trying to use a B/M-key SATA SSD, which this adapter does not support.
