M.2 NVMe to PCIe 4.0 Extender Kit
The LORDWORLD adapter converts an M-key NVMe slot on a motherboard into a standard PCIe slot. It includes two ultra-thin PCBAs and a 30cm flexible cable with gold-plated fingers. A 12V/5V SATA power cord is supplied for devices that require auxiliary power. Installation must be performed with the system powered off.
Suits builds adding a PCIe card where only an M.2
This extender works for users who need to connect a PCIe X4, X8, X1 or X16 device to an available NVMe socket. It is not for builders who require genuine PCIe 4.0 throughput, as the link operates at the speed of the host M.2 interface. Hot-plugging is unsupported, so the card cannot be swapped while the system runs.
Link speed follows the host M.2 interface
The adapter is labelled PCIe 4.0 but the supplier notes it cannot support PCIe 4.0 speeds; actual transfer rate depends entirely on the motherboard's M.2 implementation. Backwards compatibility with PCIe 3.0, 2.0 and 1.0 is maintained. Verify your board's M.2 generation before purchase to match expected bandwidth.

Questions about this item
Does the 30 cm cable and dual-PCBA design add noticeable latency or heat when the adapter runs continuously?
The ultra-thin, foldable PCBA with high-TG material and gold-plated fingers is designed for low-resistance signal integrity; no active cooling is required and the passive design adds negligible latency during all-day use.
What must my motherboard provide for this M.2-to-PCIe adapter to function?
An M-key NVMe slot that supplies a PCIe x4 link and a free SATA power connector for the included 12 V/5 V power cord; the board must be powered off during installation.
Will a PCIe 3.0 graphics card or x1 capture card work properly in the x4 slot this adapter provides?
Yes — the slot is backwards compatible with PCIe 3.0, 2.0 and 1.0 and accepts x1, x4, x8 or x16 cards, though bandwidth is limited to the host M.2 link speed.
