What this kit does

The LORDWORLD Micro SD to SD Adaptor Kit converts a microSD, microSDHC or microSDXC card into a full-size SD form factor. It is intended for users who want to add removable storage to a MacBook Air, Pro or Retina model that has an SD card slot.

Check your device first

Verify that your MacBook has a built-in SD card reader before ordering. The adaptor is approximately 20mm long, so confirm the slot depth can accommodate that length. No memory card is included, so you must supply a compatible microSD card yourself.

Behaviour under sustained use

The passive adaptor has no active electronics, so performance under sustained load depends entirely on the inserted microSD card. Heat dissipation is limited to the card body and the metal contacts of the slot.
