Compact M.2 NVMe adapter for Mini PCIe slots
This LORDWORLD riser card converts a Mini PCI Express slot into an M.2 Key-M connector, letting you install 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 NVMe SSDs in desktop or laptop systems. It draws power directly from the slot so no extra cables are needed. The small form factor suits embedded boards and NAS units.
Limited to single-lane PCIe throughput
The adapter only re-routes the existing Mini PCIe signals and does not alter the electrical performance of the module. Because the host slot supplies a single PCIe lane, maximum transfer rates are constrained to that x1 link. It cannot work with mSATA drives or slots that lack the dual PCIe and USB signal definition.
Key-M SSD form-factor support decides fit
Only M.2 drives with a Key-M edge connector in the 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 lengths are mechanically and electrically compatible. Builders needing Key-B, Key-E or longer 22110 modules must choose a different adapter.

Questions about this item
Which M.2 Key-M SSD lengths does this adapter accept?
The adapter fits 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 Key-M NVME drives.
What real-world speed can I expect from an NVME drive on this adapter?
The Mini PCI-E slot supplies a single PCIe lane, so the drive runs at PCIe 1x speed rather than its full potential.
Does the Mini PCI-E interface limit the NVME drive to a specific PCIe generation?
The adapter passes the Mini PCI-E lane through unchanged; the generation and throughput are those of the host Mini PCI-E slot.
