NEMA 10-50R 50 A female connector
The LORDWORLD NEMA 10-50R is a 50 A, 125/250 V female receptacle built for heavy-duty dryer and range cords. It accepts 12-6 AWG three-conductor cables and includes two extra strain reliefs for a secure fit. The ETL certified design meets UL 498 and CSA C22.2 No. 42 safety standards.
Thermals and power handling
Rated for 50 A at 125/250 Vac with 6 AWG cord, 40 A with 7/8 AWG, 30 A with 9/10 AWG and 25 A with 11/12 AWG. The nylon UL 94-V0 shell and pure copper pins handle continuous loads without overheating. No active cooling is required for normal operation.
Cord compatibility decides fit
The connector supports a maximum cable outer diameter of 31.5 mm (1.24 inches) and works with SJT, ST, SO, SVO and similar jacket types from 12 AWG to 6 AWG. Builders using larger-diameter or smaller-gauge cords cannot use this receptacle.

Questions about this item
How do I wire the NEMA 10-50R female connector and which terminal marking trips people up?
Connect the two hot wires to terminals marked X and Y, the neutral to W, and the ground to G; the step most often missed is landing the neutral on W instead of a ground screw.
What cord gauges and jacket types does this 50 A receptacle accept for long-term use?
It accepts 6 AWG through 12 AWG three-conductor cords with SJT, SJTW, ST, STW, STO, STOW, SJO, SJOW, SO, SRD, SVO and similar jackets up to 31.5 mm outside diameter.
At what sustained current does the NEMA 10-50R rating drop below 50 A because of conductor heating?
The 50 A rating holds only with 6 AWG cord; with 7/8 AWG it drops to 40 A, with 9/10 AWG to 30 A, and with 11/12 AWG to 25 A at 125/250 Vac.
