Right-Angle NEMA 5-15P Plug 2-Pack

This two-pack supplies ETL-listed NEMA 5-15P plugs rated 15A at 125V for household and light industrial wiring. Each unit uses a 90-degree body that rotates 360 degrees through twelve click positions, letting the cord exit in the direction that best clears furniture or equipment. The fire-resistant nylon housing meets UL94-V0 and the solid brass blades provide low-resistance contact.

12–18 AWG Screw-Terminal Limits

The split housing accepts three-conductor SJT, SVT, STO or SJTW cords from 12 AWG down to 18 AWG. Conductors fasten under captive screws, so no crimp tools are required, but the terminals will not accept wire outside that gauge range. The plug is rated for continuous 15A loads at 125V; exceeding either value voids the safety certification.

Check Cord Type and Clearance Before Ordering

Verify the existing cord carries three conductors and falls within the 12–18 AWG window marked on the jacket. Measure the space behind the appliance or outlet to confirm the right-angle profile and its rotational radius can sit flush without forcing the cable. Buyers needing a straight-body plug or a higher amperage rating should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the red or the black plug for my repair?

Both plugs are identical 15 A 125 V NEMA 5-15P connectors; the red and black housings are only colour options so you can pick whichever matches your cord or coding preference.

What does the 15 A 125 V rating mean when I wire this plug onto my cord?

The rating means the plug is certified to carry up to 15 amps at 125 volts continuously, matching standard North American household circuits and the UL498 safety specification.

How does the 360° rotatable NEMA 5-15P interface affect the way the cord sits in a tight outlet?

The plug rotates through 360° with 12 click positions, letting you orient the 90° angled body in any direction so the cord runs flat against the wall or floor without kinking.
