NEMA 5-30R 30A 125V Receptacle
This ETL-certified NEMA 5-30R receptacle handles 30 amps at 125 volts. It is a rewireable DIY socket intended for very old power devices that require this specific connector type. The housing uses UL 94-V0 nylon and pure copper pins. Two extra strain reliefs are included for a secure cord fit.
Cord gauge and outer diameter compatibility
Before ordering, confirm that your cord uses 12 to 6 AWG conductors with three wires. The receptacle accepts cords up to 31.5 mm outer diameter. Check that the existing device truly needs a NEMA 5-30R interface, as this connector is uncommon on modern equipment.
Strain reliefs and terminal markings
The two supplied strain reliefs clamp the cord jacket firmly to prevent pull-out stress on the terminals. Terminals are marked X, Y, Z for line connections, G for grounding, and W for the grounded conductor. This labelling follows the UL 498 and CSA C22.2 #42 standards referenced in the certification.

Questions about this item
Does the LORDWORLD NEMA 5-30R receptacle include a power cord or must I supply my own?
The receptacle is a rewireable DIY unit; no cord is included. You must provide a compatible 3-conductor cord from 12 AWG to 6 AWG (SJT, ST, SO, etc.) up to 31.5 mm outer diameter.
When should I choose the 30 A rating versus the 25 A rating for this NEMA 5-30R?
Use the 30 A rating with 10, 8 or 6 AWG cord. If you are wiring with 12 or 11 AWG cord, the rating drops to 25 A at 125 Vac.
What does the 30 A 125 V rating mean once the receptacle is installed in my equipment?
It means the receptacle can continuously carry 30 amps at 125 volts when wired with 10–6 AWG conductors, and it meets UL 498 and CSA C22.2 No. 42 safety standards.
