M-Key NVME Extender with PCI-E 4.0
This adapter extends an M-Key NVME or SATA drive from a motherboard socket using a 30cm flexible cable. It supports 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 form factors on the drive side. The kit includes two PCBAs and the cable assembly. It is intended for builders who need to relocate an SSD away from the primary slot.
Bandwidth ceiling set by NVME 1.4 and SATA
The link operates at up to 64Gbps when an NVME 1.4 drive is installed, while SATA drives are limited to 6Gbps. The cable does not convert between NVME and SATA protocols; the drive and host must share the same interface. Length and signal integrity cap practical throughput at the rated maximums.
30cm cable fixes the maximum reach
The 30cm extension determines how far the drive can sit from the M-Key slot. Builds that require a longer run cannot use this part. The PVC-sheathed copper construction keeps the cable thin and pliable for tight routing inside a chassis.

Questions about this item
Which SSD form factors does the extender card support?
The card works with M.2 drives in 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280 and 22110 lengths.
What real-world bandwidth can I expect from the 64 Gbps NVMe 1.4 rating?
The PCIe 4.0 x4 link tops out at 64 Gbps, so an NVMe SSD will run at its full Gen 4 speed through the 30 cm cable.
Does the PCIe 4.0 interface limit the cable to NVMe drives only?
No — the same extender handles both NVMe and SATA NGFF drives, but it cannot convert between the two protocols.
