5MP USB 2.0 camera for Raspberry Pi and Jetson Nano

This LORDWORLD OV5693 module delivers 5MP stills and video through a standard USB 2.0 connection. It is designed for makers and developers adding vision to single-board computers or a Windows PC. The fixed-focus M12 lens provides a 135° wide field of view for robotics, monitoring or AI inference projects.

M12 mount and auto-focusing sensor simplify

The OV5693 sensor handles auto focusing without manual adjustment, reducing setup time on the bench. A USB 2.0 plug supplies both power and data, so no extra cables or driver discs are required on supported platforms. The compact M12 form factor fits tight enclosures where larger C- or CS-mount cameras cannot. Builders needing higher frame rates at full resolution or a narrower lens for long-range detail should evaluate alternative modules.

Questions about this item

What resolution does the USB 2.0 interface cap the OV5693 sensor at in practice?

The USB 2.0 port limits bandwidth, so the 5 MP OV5693 sensor typically streams at reduced frame rates or compressed formats rather than full raw throughput.

What mounting hardware does the M12 lens barrel need to fit this module?

The module uses an M12 thread on the lens barrel; any standard M12-mount lens or bracket will screw directly onto it.
