E1.S to PCIe 4.0 4X Adapter
This adapter converts an EDSFF E1.S SSD into a PCI Express 4.0 x4 add-in card for internal installation. It accepts E1.S modules with 9.5mm, 15mm or 25mm thickness including heatsinks. Compatible examples include the PM9A3, PM9D3 and P5801X. No driver installation is required on current operating systems.
Suits server and data-centre builders adding E1.S
The card targets IoT, server and data-centre deployments that need to mount ruler-format E1.S NVMe drives in a standard PCIe slot. It does not serve users who only have M.2 or U.2 bays available. Builders requiring hot-plug carrier features or E3.S form-factor support should look at alternative solutions.
PCIe 4.0 x4 host interface
The adapter connects to the host through a PCI Express 4.0 x4 edge connector, delivering the full bandwidth of the Gen-Z E1.S SSD without protocol translation. This single interface specification determines whether the card fits the target platform and whether the drive can operate at its rated speed.

Questions about this item
Will this PCI-E 4.0 4X adapter work in an older PCI-E 3.0 slot?
Yes, the adapter is compliant with PCI Express 4.0 and will operate in a 3.0 slot at 3.0 speeds.
How do I verify the E1.S SSD is recognised after installing the adapter?
The SSD should appear in the BIOS or OS storage manager without extra drivers; most current operating systems support PCIe-NVMe SSDs natively.
Does the package include mounting hardware for 9.5 mm, 15 mm and 25 mm thick drives?
The carrier fits all three thicknesses with a heat sink; screws or brackets for your specific chassis are not included.
