4-pair BNC-to-RJ45 balun kit

This kit provides four pairs of passive transceivers that carry analogue-HD video and low-voltage power over standard CAT5e or CAT6 cable. Each pair links a camera to a DVR or monitor using BNC and DC connectors on both ends. The 18 cm pigtails keep cabinet wiring tidy. Installers working on indoor CCTV upgrades will find the plug-and-play format convenient.

Supports 720P through 8MP formats

The baluns handle CVI, TVI, AHD and CVBS signals at 720P, 960P, 1080P, 3MP, 4MP, 5MP and 8MP resolutions. Green and yellow LEDs show link status at a glance. Power delivery over the same UTP run is rated for 12 V DC at 1 A up to 27 metres; longer runs require 14 V, 16 V, 18 V or 20-48 V DC to offset voltage drop. The units are not waterproof and must stay indoors.

Replaces coaxial-and-siamese cable runs

Where existing coax is damaged or absent, these baluns let you reuse structured cabling for both video and power. The jump is worthwhile when cable pulls are shorter than 27 metres at 12 V or when higher-voltage supplies are already planned. They do not suit outdoor installations, PoE-only cameras, IP-only recorders or runs that exceed the stated voltage-distance limits.
