An all-in-one kit that houses a Raspberry Pi 5 in an aluminum case with PCIe-to-quad-USB 3.2 expansion, HDMI and Type-C adapters, and room for HATs and cooling
This all-in-one kit provides an aluminium alloy enclosure and expansion hardware designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi 5 board. It targets makers and developers who want a compact, ready-to-assemble platform for edge computing or IoT projects. The package includes HDMI and USB Type-C adapters to simplify initial setup and connectivity.
The BOX-B variant adds a PCIe adapter that splits the Pi 5's single PCIe lane into four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, replacing the limited native USB complement. This jump is worth it when your application requires multiple high-speed peripherals such as storage arrays, cameras or sensor hubs simultaneously. Builders needing only one or two USB devices gain no advantage from the extra hardware.
All four USB 3.2 Gen1 ports share the Raspberry Pi 5's single PCIe 2.0 x1 link, so aggregate throughput cannot exceed that lane's theoretical maximum. Sustained transfers across several drives or cameras at once will saturate the bus and reduce per-port performance. Projects demanding full 5 Gbps on every port concurrently exceed what the interface can deliver.

The case has a larger internal space that supports connecting various HATs such as a PoE HAT and leaves room for cable management.
The adapter connects to the Raspberry Pi 5 PCIe interface; the step often missed is securing the adapter inside the case before closing the lid.
If a cooling fan is installed, it will need periodic dust cleaning through the reserved airflow vents to maintain efficient heat dissipation.
