Replacement Mic for Astro A40 TR

The LORDWORLD microphone replaces the original boom on Astro A40 and A40 TR headsets. It connects through a 3.5 mm TR two-conductor gold-plated plug and includes a removable foam windscreen. The flexible boom measures 15 centimetres and holds its position once bent. It is built for gamers and streamers who need a direct swap for a damaged or lost mic.

3.5 mm TRS Connection Limits

The two-conductor plug carries only the microphone signal, so it fits headsets wired for a dedicated mic jack. Devices that combine audio and microphone on a single four-pole socket will not work without a splitter. The omnidirectional capsule picks up sound from every direction, which can capture keyboard noise in untreated rooms. No inline mute or volume control is present on the cable.

Upgrade From a Broken Stock Boom

This part restores full voice chat when the factory microphone snaps, develops static or loses its foam cover. The gold-plated contacts resist oxidation better than worn originals, and the new windscreen cuts plosives immediately. Buyers who want a longer reach, a unidirectional pattern or inline controls will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Which version fits my Astro A40 or A40 TR headset?

This replacement microphone is built for both the Astro A40 and the Astro A40 TR wireless gaming headsets, so it matches either model directly.

How does the omnidirectional, noise-cancelling design perform during play?

The omnidirectional capsule picks up your voice from any angle while the built-in noise cancellation suppresses background sound, and the removable foam cover acts as a pop filter to reduce plosives.

What does the 3.5 mm TR 2-conductor gold-plated plug limit?

The 3.5 mm TR plug carries a mono microphone signal only; it does not transmit stereo audio or inline controls, so it connects solely to the headset's mic port.
