This adapter lets you use SD, SDHC, SDXC and MMC cards in a device that only accepts CompactFlash Type I media. It is aimed at photographers or technicians who need to keep older CF-slot equipment working with modern memory cards. No memory card is included in the package. A CF Type I slot is required for installation.

The adapter measures 3.3 mm thick, matching the standard CF Type I profile so it fits flush in compatible slots. It accepts the full range of SD-family capacities from standard SD through SDHC to SDXC, plus MMC cards. Speed depends entirely on the inserted memory card and the host device's own controller. There is no onboard memory or controller to boost performance beyond what the card provides.

CF Type I Interface Constraints

The adapter passes signals directly to the host's CompactFlash Type I interface, so throughput is limited by that older parallel bus. Devices designed only for newer card formats will not accept this adapter. Users needing CF Type II thickness or faster native interfaces such as CFexpress cannot use this product. Compatibility must be verified against the host device's specifications before purchase.
