DIY USB-C Power Cable Kit
This two-piece set provides a latch-mount USB Type-C female socket with a 10cm two-pin pigtail for custom wiring. It is intended for hobbyists and repair technicians who need to add a USB-C power input to an enclosure or replace a damaged port. The cables arrive unterminated so each connection must be soldered by the installer.
5V 2A Power Delivery Limit
The assembly passes up to DC 5V at 2A when paired with a USB 2.0 Type-C source and device. Only the two power pins are connected so the cable cannot negotiate Power Delivery profiles or carry any data signals. Builders requiring higher voltages, data lines or PD communication will need a different harness.
Passive Operation With No Active Cooling
The short pigtail and latch-mount socket draw no power themselves and generate no measurable heat during normal use. There are no fans, controllers or active components to produce noise or increase system power draw. Thermal performance is therefore dictated entirely by the host supply and the load attached.
