7-Port USB-C Hub for MacBook Pro and iMac 2021
This hub expands a single USB-C port into seven USB-A connections. It is built for users of MacBook Pro and iMac 2021 models who need to attach multiple legacy peripherals at once. The adapter suits anyone facing a shortage of USB-A sockets on their machine.
One USB 3.0 and six USB 2.0 ports change
The single 3.0 port handles larger file transfers at higher speed. The six 2.0 ports manage keyboards, mice, printers and other low-bandwidth devices simultaneously. Together they remove the need to swap cables when all ports are occupied.

Questions about this item
Will the USB 3.0 port need replacement after heavy daily use?
The hub has one USB 3.0 port and six USB 2.0 ports. No maintenance or replacement schedule is defined by the manufacturer for the ports under normal use.
What is the first limit reached during sustained large file transfers?
The single USB 3.0 port provides the highest transfer rate. Sustained large-file throughput will be limited by that port's 3.0 specification before the six USB 2.0 ports become a factor.
