Driver-free USB audio module with onboard microphone and speaker header supports sampling rates from 8K to 48K Hz for Raspberry Pi and Jetson Nano
This compact USB sound card adds stereo recording and playback to Raspberry Pi or Jetson Nano boards. It connects through a standard USB 2.0 port and operates without drivers on Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Android and WinCE. An onboard microphone and a speaker header provide immediate audio input and output for voice projects.
The built‑in microphone captures sound without extra wiring, while the speaker header lets you attach a small speaker directly. Together they turn the module into a self‑contained listening and speaking device for robotics, smart assistants or interactive installations. No separate audio HAT or codec board is required.
Supported rates include 8K, 11.025K, 12K, 16K, 22.05K, 24K, 32K, 44.1K and the default 48K Hz, covering voice commands through to CD‑quality playback. The single USB channel limits simultaneous multi‑channel recording, so projects needing surround capture or professional‑grade dynamic range will need a dedicated audio interface.

The onboard microphone is soldered to the board and not user-replaceable; if it fails the whole module would need to be swapped.
The highest supported rate is 48 kHz, so sustained captures cannot exceed that resolution.
The module draws power only from the USB 2.0 port, has no fan or moving parts, and runs silently with negligible heat.
