Dual-compartment insulated lunch bag

The Lowepro 24001 is a medium-sized beige bag built for adults who want hot and cold items kept separate during work, hiking, picnics or beach trips. Two main sections prevent food from being crushed, while a U-shaped top opening and wrap-around lower zipper give quick access to both layers. An adjustable shoulder strap adds a third carry option alongside the top handles.

Capacity and thermal headroom

The upper compartment measures 11.2 L x 7.1 W x 4.2 H centimetres for snacks and fruit, while the leakproof foil-lined lower section expands to 11.2 L x 7.1 W x 8.0 H centimetres for drinks and bento boxes. Four-layer construction with 6 mm foam and food-grade aluminium foil holds temperature for hours, yet the bag weighs only 0.599 kilograms when empty.

Upgrade from single-layer totes

Replaces basic soft coolers that stack everything in one space and leak when a container tips. The jump is worth it when you regularly carry both a packed lunch and separate snacks, need dedicated pockets for utensils and a bottle, or want a bag that cleans easily after a spill. Buyers who need a hard-shell cooler or a larger family-size capacity will not be served by this model.

Questions about this item

Will the 11.2 L x 7.1 W top compartment fit above my existing 15-inch laptop in a backpack?

The upper section measures 11.2 L x 7.1 W x 4.2 H centimetres, so it sits flat beside a 15-inch device without adding much height.

How can I confirm the leakproof lower section is sealing properly after I pack it?

Close the wrap-around double zipper, invert the bag briefly over a sink — no liquid should escape from the PEVA-lined bottom compartment.

Does the 24001 come with containers or ice packs, or do I buy those separately?

The bag includes two front zip pockets, two side mesh pockets and an adjustable shoulder strap; food containers and ice packs are not included.
