Quart Freezer Bags for Home Storage

Lowepro quart freezer bags come in a 60 count pack with a stand-up bottom that stays open while you fill them. The beige plastic bags use a zipper closure to seal contents for freezer storage. They suit households that batch-cook or buy in bulk and need reliable portion-sized bags.

Stay-Open Design Reduces Spills

The stand-up bottom and stay-open structure let the bag sit upright on the counter so both hands are free to pour or spoon food inside. This cuts spills and mess during filling. A secure double zipper locks the bag closed after filling to maintain the seal through freeze-thaw cycles.

Freezer Burn Protection Limited to 12 Weeks

Testing on ground beef shows the bags help prevent freezer burn for up to 12 weeks, so longer storage carries higher risk. The plastic material is not suited for microwave or boiling-water reheating. Buyers who need extended freezer life beyond three months or heat-safe containers will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

Will the zipper seal stay reliable after repeated opening and closing?

The bags use a double zipper with Ziploc 9 Point Protection designed to maintain a secure closure across multiple uses.

What causes freezer burn protection to stop working first?

The double-zipper seal blocks air; protection lasts up to 12 weeks on ground beef before air penetration can resume.

How much heat do the bags add to a freezer running all day?

The plastic bags add negligible thermal load; they simply hold contents at freezer temperature without generating heat.
