What the product is and who it is for

Lowepro VM15 bags are reusable vacuum-seal pouches made from food-grade, BPA-free plastic. The pack contains 30 medium-sized bags measuring 8.3 x 8.7 inches plus three sealing clips. They suit home cooks and meal-preppers who want airtight storage for meat, fruit, vegetables and dry goods without disposable waste.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

The bags are rated safe for freezer, microwave, dishwasher and sous-vide temperatures, so they withstand both freezing and heating cycles without degrading. A secure airtight seal prevents leaks and locks out odours during storage. No pump or power source is required because the bags work with a separate handheld vacuum sealer.

The specification that decides fit

Each bag measures 8.27 x 8.66 inches, so portions must fit within that footprint. A handheld vacuum sealer is needed to remove air; the pump is not included in the pack. Buyers without a compatible sealer or who need larger bag dimensions should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I use the self-seal valve with my handheld vacuum sealer?

Fill the bag, press the self-seal valve shut, attach your handheld vacuum sealer to the valve, and remove the air; no heat sealer or cutting is required.

How many times can each bag be reused and what wears out first?

The bags are dishwasher-safe for repeated cleaning, but the self-seal valve and the three included clips are the parts most likely to need replacement after heavy use.

What temperature limit will I reach first when using these bags for sous vide cooking?

The bags are rated as microwave-safe and sous-vide-safe, so the practical limit is the maximum temperature of your sous-vide circulator or microwave, not the bag material itself.
