Laundry protection for large items

This set includes two extra-large honeycomb mesh bags measuring 24 by 24 inches each. They are designed to hold bulky items such as sheets, coats, windbreakers and toys during machine washing. The 125 gsm polyester construction provides durability for repeated cycles. An auto-lock zipper with a protective cover stays closed and prevents damage to the drum.

Mesh limits for thorough cleaning

The honeycomb mesh allows water and detergent to circulate while keeping items contained. Overfilling reduces movement and cleaning effectiveness, so fill only to about two-thirds capacity. The breathable fabric also supports even drying in a tumble dryer. Very small items may pass through the mesh openings, so pair them with a smaller bag if needed.

Check washer capacity and zipper habit

Ensure your washing machine drum can accommodate a 24-inch square bag moving freely during the cycle. Remember to tuck the zipper pull into the elastic band before starting the wash to keep it locked and protected. Use neutral or acid detergent, as alkaline formulas will accelerate fabric aging. These bags are not suited for comforters or duvets exceeding the stated dimensions.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 24 x 24 inch set or the 35 x 43.3 inch set for large bedding?

The 35 x 43.3 inch heavy-duty pair is built for comforters, duvets and sheets, while the 24 x 24 inch bags suit cotton clothes, sweaters and similar items.

Will the 125 gsm honeycomb mesh protect a 15 inch laptop sleeve during a wash cycle?

The mesh is designed for clothing and delicates; the 12 x 8 x .7 inch laptop compartment noted in the data belongs to a different Lowepro bag, not these laundry bags.

Does the auto-lock zipper meet any specific laundry standard?

The auto-lock zipper prevents opening during washing and has a cover to stop scratching the machine; no industry standard is referenced for this feature.
