Lowrance Livewire Volt 4G LTE Wired GPS Tracker

The Lowrance Livewire Volt is a 4G LTE wired GPS tracker designed for continuous vehicle monitoring. It uses a 12-channel receiver and draws power directly from the vehicle battery for 24/7 operation. Real-time location updates are accessible via mobile app, web portal, and Alexa integration.

Fleet managers and owners needing hardwired security

This unit suits users who want a permanent, hidden installation without battery charging concerns. It is not for buyers who need a portable tracker to move between vehicles, nor for those requiring iOS smartphone linkage since the app supports Android only.

12-channel GPS receiver

The 12-channel receiver delivers position fixes with a velocity accuracy of 0.05 meter per second. Update intervals of 5, 30, or 60 seconds are selectable in the app. A 32GB miniSD card slot and 1MB internal memory handle local data storage.

Questions about this item

How is the Livewire Volt wired into the vehicle and what step do installers often miss?

Connect the red wire to constant 12 V power and the black wire to chassis ground; the step often missed is securing the ground to clean bare metal so the tracker does not lose power when the engine is off.

What maintenance will the 32 GB miniSD card need over time?

The card stores location logs; when it fills, older tracks are overwritten automatically, so no manual clearing is required unless you want to archive the data via USB.

At what update interval does the 4G LTE connection hit its practical limit during continuous driving?

The shortest selectable refresh is every 5 seconds; sustained use at that rate will reach the carrier’s fair-use threshold before the tracker hardware does.
