Lucas Red "N" Tacky Grease 14oz
This universal lubricant is formulated for agricultural, automotive and industrial machinery requiring a smooth, tacky grease. It suits maintenance tasks where water resistance and long storage life are needed. The product fits a wide range of equipment types without a specific OEM requirement.
Water resistance and mechanical stability
The grease exhibits strong resistance to spray off and water washout during normal operation. It demonstrates excellent mechanical stability to maintain consistency in bearings and sliding parts. Powerful extreme pressure additives provide a 4-ball weld load over 400 kgf. Rust and oxidation inhibitors extend the usable life of the lubricant.
Behaviour under sustained heavy loads
The formulation endures heavy loads over extended periods without breaking down. It prevents seizure under the toughest stresses on plain bearings, sliding parts and open gears. Extreme pressure additives continue to protect surfaces during continuous high-stress use. The tacky texture resists displacement when components are under constant pressure.

Questions about this item
How do I apply the 14 oz Lucas Red "N" Tacky Grease to a universal fitting, and what step is often missed?
Use a standard grease gun to fill the fitting until fresh grease purges old material; the missed step is wiping the zerk clean first so dirt is not forced inside.
When will the 14 oz cartridge need replacement in a high-load agricultural bearing?
Replace it when the grease darkens, hardens, or water contamination appears; the 400 kgf weld-load rating means it lasts longer under extreme pressure than standard greases.
What is the first performance limit reached during sustained heavy-load operation?
The extreme-pressure additives prevent seizure up to the 4-ball weld load of over 400 kgf; beyond that load the film ruptures and metal contact begins.
