15-in-1 USB-C docking station

The LUOM BXS15IN1 expands a single USB-C port into fifteen connections. It suits professionals who need wired networking, legacy VGA output, multiple USB peripherals and card readers on recent MacBook, Surface or Chromebook models.

Compatibility and host requirements

The host must provide a USB-C port that supports video alt mode and power delivery for the hub to drive displays and pass-through charging. Thunderbolt 3 hosts are also compatible. Older USB-C ports without display or charging support will not enable the HDMI, VGA or 87 W pass-through functions.

Thermals, noise and power

The aluminium enclosure dissipates heat passively with no moving parts, so operation is silent. The hub draws its operating power from the host bus and supplies up to 87 W of pass-through charging to the laptop when a suitable adapter is connected to the USB-C PD port.

Questions about this item

Does the LUOM BXS15IN1 include a power adapter or must I use my laptop's own USB-C charger?

The dock has an 87 W USB-C Power Delivery port for pass-through charging; you connect your laptop's original charger to that port to power the hub and the computer together.

Should I choose the HDMI port or the VGA port for a 4K monitor?

Use the HDMI port for 4K at 30 Hz; the VGA port maxes out at 1080p, and when both run together each is limited to 1080p.

What does the 5 W, 7.5 W, 10 W wireless charging rating mean for my phone?

The built-in pad delivers up to 10 W for compatible devices, 7.5 W for iPhones, and 5 W for other Qi phones; simply place the handset on the marked area to charge.
