What this cable does

The LUOM PQ006 is a USB4 Gen 3x2 cable with USB C male connectors on both ends. It carries data at up to 40 Gbps, delivers up to 240 W of power at 48 V, and drives a single 8K display at 60 Hz or dual 4K displays at 60 Hz when the host supports DisplayPort Alt Mode.

The spec that decides fit

The cable is certified for the USB4 Gen 3x2 standard and Thunderbolt 3 and 4 compatibility, so it only reaches its 40 Gbps and 240 W potential when both the host and the device also support USB4 Gen 3x2 or Thunderbolt 3 or 4 with Extended Power Range.

Who should buy it and who should not

Creators and professionals who need one cable for high-speed storage, 8K video output and 240 W charging will benefit. Buyers whose devices only support USB 3.2, USB 3.1 or USB 2.0 will not see the higher speeds or power levels and should look at a lower-specification cable.

Questions about this item

How does 40Gbps translate when the cable is plugged into a real laptop and drive?

You will see up to 40Gbps bidirectional throughput when both ends support USB4 Gen 3x2; otherwise the link falls back to the highest shared speed.

What does USB4 Gen 3x2 cap in practice for data, power and video?

The cable carries 40Gbps data, 240W at 48V via PD 3.1, and drives single 8K@60Hz or dual 4K@60Hz displays when the host supports DisplayPort Alt Mode.

What physical clearance and port type does the 3.3ft cable need to fit?

It uses reversible USB-C male plugs on both ends and requires a standard USB-C receptacle; the 3.3ft length suits desk or dock connections without strain.
