Two-metre braided USB-A to USB-C cables

This two-pack supplies 6.6 ft cables that link a USB-A port to a USB-C device for data and power. They suit users who need longer reach between a desktop, laptop or charger and phones, tablets, external SSDs or a Nintendo Switch. The male-to-male connectors feature metal shells and a 56 kΩ pull-up resistor for safe 5 V / 3 A operation.

Nylon braid and reinforced strain relief

The double braided jacket and moulded strain reliefs are rated for over 20,000 bends and 10,000 insertions, reducing cable fatigue at the connector junction. This construction resists fraying and kinking during frequent packing or desk routing, so the electrical contacts stay reliable over extended daily use.

10 Gbps data and 60 W charging headroom

Each cable moves files at up to 10 Gbps (1250 MB/s), handling large photo libraries, video projects or game installs in seconds. It delivers 3 A at 5 V for Quick Charge 3.0 compatible gear, but cannot supply the 4.5 V / 5 A or 5 V / 4 A required by certain proprietary fast-charge systems. Video output and laptop-to-laptop data links are not supported.

Questions about this item

Will the nylon braid or metal connectors need replacing after daily bending?

The cable is rated for over 20000 bending cycles and over 10000 plug cycles, so the braid and metal ends are built to last through heavy daily use.

What stops the 10Gbps transfer rate during long file moves?

The 10Gbps limit is the cable’s USB 3.2 Gen 2 specification; sustained throughput will not exceed 1250MB/s and the cable does not support video output.

How warm does the cable get when charging at 3A for hours?

With a 56KΩ resistor and 3A maximum current, the cable is designed for safe 60W charging without excessive heat during extended sessions.
