USB A to C 3.2 Gen 2 cable

This USB A to USB C cable supports 10Gbps data transfer and 60W PD charging for MacBooks, iPads, PCs, docks, phones, SSDs and hard drives. It uses a USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection with a 56kO resistor for safe operation. The 1.6ft length suits desktop or close-range setups.

Capacity and headroom

The cable delivers up to 10Gbps (1250MB/s) bandwidth for rapid file sync between an external SSD and a computer. It handles 3A current for QC 3.0 fast charging, reaching 70% on a compatible phone in 30 minutes. It does not support data transfer or charging between two laptops, nor does it carry video output signals.

Thermals noise and power draw

Sturdy metal connectors and double nylon braiding survive 20000+ bend cycles and 10000+ plug cycles without degradation. Passive construction means no fan noise or active cooling is required. Power draw follows the connected charger and device negotiation up to 60W.

Questions about this item

Will the PQ057 cable work with my existing USB 3.0 Type-A ports on an older desktop?

Yes, the USB 3.2 Gen 2 connector is backward compatible with USB 3.0 and 2.0 Type-A ports; data will transfer at the older port's maximum speed while charging still delivers up to 3 A / 60 W.

How can I verify the cable is delivering its rated 10 Gbps throughput after I plug it in?

Connect a USB 3.2 Gen 2 SSD to a 10 Gbps port and run a large sequential read/write test; sustained speeds approaching 1 250 MB/s confirm the link is operating at the full 10 Gbps rate.

The listing mentions 1.6 ft + 1.6 ft — are both cables included and do I need any extra adapters?

The package contains two 1.6 ft USB-A to USB-C braided cables; no additional adapters are required for standard USB-A hosts or USB-C devices.
