Two-metre USB 3.2 A-to-C cables

This two-pack supplies two 6.6 ft cables with USB-A male plugs on one end and USB-C male plugs on the other. They are built for users who need to charge and move data between legacy USB-A hosts and modern USB-C devices such as phones, tablets, external SSDs or a Nintendo Switch. Both cables are new and rated for 60 W power delivery.

USB 3.2 Gen 2 practical limits

The interface tops out at 10 Gbps, which the supplier equates to roughly 1250 MB/s, and is backward compatible with USB 2.0, 3.0 and 3.1 Gen 1. Video output is not supported, so the cables cannot drive a 4K display. The 56 kΩ resistor ensures safe negotiation with USB-A chargers.

60 W charging decides fit

Maximum power delivery is 60 W at 20 V and 3 A with QC 3.0 support, so the pair suits laptops, tablets and phones that accept that profile. Buyers whose devices need more than 60 W or require video-alt-mode should choose a different cable.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the single 6.6ft cable or the 2-pack for my setup?

The product is sold as a 2-pack of 6.6ft cables, giving you a spare or a second cable for another device.

What does the 10Gbps rating mean when I copy files to an external SSD?

You can expect up to 1250MB/s transfer speed, so a 20Gb file moves in roughly 30 seconds when both host and drive support USB 3.2 Gen 2.

Will the USB-A plug limit charging speed on my laptop?

The cable delivers up to 60W at 20V 3A through the USB-A connector, provided your port and charger support that power level.
