Product purpose

This LUOM U310 cable extends a USB 3.0 connection up to 50 feet using built-in signal booster chips. It delivers SuperSpeed 5 Gbps data transfer for printers, keyboards, game consoles and other Type-A peripherals.

Who it suits

The active design serves setups that need reliable long-distance links beyond passive cable limits. Buyers who need USB-C connectivity or shorter passive runs should look at other options.

Capacity and headroom

The 5 Gbps rate handles large file backups, high-definition video and multiple peripherals simultaneously. Very high-bandwidth devices such as latest-generation external SSDs may saturate the link.

Questions about this item

What USB port must my computer have for the LUOM U310 to run at 5 Gbps?

Your computer needs a USB 3.0 Type-A port to reach the 5 Gbps rate; the cable will still work on USB 2.0 or 1.1 ports at their slower speeds.

Will the cable work with a USB 2.0 printer I already own?

Yes, the U310 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0, 1.1 and 1.0 devices, so your existing printer will function normally.

How can I verify the link is operating at SuperSpeed after I connect it?

Check the device properties in your OS — a SuperSpeed listing or a 5 Gbps negotiated rate confirms the active booster chips are working.
