USB 3.0 Male-to-Male Extension Cable 3 Pack

This three-pack of LUOM USB 3.0 extension cables adds 6.6 ft of reach between a host computer and any peripheral that uses a USB Type-A port. Each cable carries a male Type-A plug at both ends and supports SuperSpeed data rates up to 5 Gbps. The set is aimed at users who need to place external drives, cooling pads, cameras or VR headsets further from the PC without losing bandwidth.

Suits Type-A peripherals.

The cables work with laptops, desktops, hard-drive enclosures, laptop cooling radiators, Blu-ray drives, set-top boxes, monitors and similar USB 3.0 Type-A equipment. They are backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 ports. Buyers whose devices only offer USB Type-C, Micro-B, Mini-B or proprietary connectors will need a different cable or adapter.

5 Gbps SuperSpeed rating over 6.6 ft

The decisive specification is the certified 5 Gbps transfer rate maintained across the full 6.6 ft length. Nickel-plated connectors, bare copper conductors and foil-plus-braid shielding preserve signal integrity at that speed. If the installation requires a longer run or a different connector gender, this cable will not meet the requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the three-pack include anything besides the three 6.6FT cables?

The pack contains only the three USB 3.0 A Male to A Male extension cables; no adapters, drivers or mounting hardware are supplied.

Should I choose a different length or a single cable instead of the 6.6FT three-pack?

This listing offers only the 6.6FT length in a three-pack; if you need a shorter run or a single cable you would have to select a different product.

Will the 5 Gbps rating be reached when I connect a 2.5-inch hard-drive enclosure to my laptop?

The cable supports up to 5 Gbps with USB 3.0 devices and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1, so the enclosure will run at the highest speed both ends support.
