Extended Surface for Keyboard and Mouse

The LUOM World Map mouse pad measures 800 by 400 millimetres and provides a single continuous surface for both keyboard and mouse. Its 2 millimetre thickness keeps the profile low while protecting the desk from scratches. A non-slip rubber base prevents movement during fast swipes. The world-map pattern adds visual interest without affecting tracking.

Upgrade from Standard Pads

Replacing a small office pad removes the frustration of running out of room during low-sensitivity gaming or wide spreadsheet work. The larger area lets you keep the keyboard centred and still have ample space for 360-degree mouse turns. The jump is worth it when your current mat forces you to lift the mouse mid-action or when keyboard overhang causes wobble.

Limits of Cloth Surface and Thin Profile

Cloth weave offers consistent glide but will wear faster than hard pads under heavy daily use. The 2 millimetre height provides minimal wrist cushioning, so users with existing discomfort may need a separate rest. Rubber base adhesion can degrade on dusty or textured desks, requiring a clean surface for reliable grip. No waterproof coating is mentioned, so liquid spills may soak through.

Questions about this item

How much desk space does the 800 mm by 400 mm pad require?

The pad measures 800 mm wide by 400 mm deep, so you need at least that much clear surface plus a small margin around the edges for comfortable mouse movement.

What is the correct way to lay the 2 mm thick pad so the non‑slip rubber base grips properly?

Unroll the pad on a clean, dry desk with the rubber side down; press firmly from the centre outward to remove air pockets, which is the step most people skip and causes the pad to shift.

When should the world‑map textured weave be replaced due to wear?

Replace the pad when the surface texture feels noticeably smoother or the rubber base no longer holds the desk, typically after heavy daily use wears down the weave.
