USB-C audio adapter with 3.5 mm jack

This USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter adds an analogue headphone socket to devices that lack one. It supports 192 kHz / 16-bit audio output and delivers 1.0 Vrms into loads up to 100 Ω. The inline microphone is captured at 48 kHz / 24-bit. No external power is required.

Wired headphone users with USB-C devices

Suits listeners who want to keep using 3.5 mm headphones on phones, tablets or laptops that only offer USB-C or Thunderbolt ports. The 0.4 W output drives most portable headphones cleanly. Buyers needing Bluetooth connectivity or a separate microphone input should look elsewhere.

192 kHz 16-bit DAC with 1.0 Vrms output

The adapter’s DAC reaches 192 kHz at 16-bit depth and provides 1.0 Vrms, enough for headphones up to 100 Ω. If your headphones require higher voltage or you need 24-bit playback at 192 kHz, this unit will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

What does 192 kHz / 16-bit mean for my headphones?

The adapter can reproduce high-resolution audio up to 192 kHz sample rate and 16-bit depth, so lossless files play back with their full detail and dynamic range intact.

How does the USB-C connection limit what I can do?

The USB-C plug carries digital audio and microphone data at up to 48 kHz / 24-bit for calls, and the built-in DAC converts it to analogue for the 3.5 mm jack without needing external power.

Will this dongle fit inside a tight laptop port cluster?

The body measures 0.9 cm × 5.7 cm × 9.5 cm and weighs 9 g, so it sits flush beside other cables and adds virtually no leverage on the port.
