2.80 mm Twister GP 3X Drill

The M.A. Ford 22611020 is a 2.80 mm pneumatic drill accessory built for precision hole-making in metal and composite materials. It suits maintenance technicians and production engineers who need a single, repeatable diameter for rivet or fastener prep work.

Twister GP 3X flute geometry

The Twister GP 3X flute design improves chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during continuous drilling cycles. This geometry extends tool life and helps maintain hole quality when running at higher feed rates in handheld or CNC pneumatic rigs.

2.80 mm diameter capacity

The fixed 2.80 mm diameter handles standard rivet and clearance holes in thin-wall aluminium, titanium sheet and carbon-fibre laminates. It is not suited for larger diameters, deep-hole drilling beyond the flute length, or materials that require coolant-through tooling.

Questions about this item

How often will the 2.80 mm Twister GP 3X drill need resharpening or replacement?

Resharpen when cutting edges dull; replace if flutes wear past the 2.80 mm diameter or if the shank shows damage.

What limit appears first during continuous drilling with the Twister GP 3X 2.80 mm bit?

Heat buildup at the cutting lips typically limits sustained feed rates before the tool itself fails.

How much noise and heat does the 2.80 mm Twister GP 3X generate in all-day pneumatic use?

Expect typical high-speed drill whine and warm shanks; use coolant and hearing protection for extended runs.
