Drill bit for pneumatic tools

The M.A. Ford Twister GP 3X drill bit measures 6.90 mm and is built for pneumatic power tools. It suits maintenance technicians and metalworking shops that need a dedicated size for repetitive hole-making in steel or alloy components.

Replaces worn or undersized bits

Swap it in when an existing 6.90 mm bit dulls, chips or wanders during production runs. The upgrade is worth it when hole tolerance and tool life directly affect throughput on a pneumatic line.

Holds diameter under continuous cycling

The flute geometry evacuates chips during sustained pneumatic drilling so the cutting edges stay cool and the 6.90 mm diameter remains consistent. It resists the walk-off that short bursts hide but long shifts expose.

Questions about this item

What shank diameter does the 6.90 mm Twister GP 3X drill have for mounting in a chuck?

The drill body is 6.90 mm in diameter, so it fits directly into a 6.90 mm or 1/4 inch collet or a three-jaw chuck opened to that size.

What is the common installation mistake when fitting this drill into a pneumatic tool?

Users often tighten the chuck before the shank is fully seated, causing run-out; push the drill in until the shank bottoms out, then secure the chuck.

When should the Twister GP 3X drill be replaced during regular maintenance?

Replace it when the cutting lips show visible wear, chipping, or when hole diameter and finish fall outside tolerance.
