Questions about this item

How often should the 9.70 mm solid carbide drill be inspected for wear?

Inspect the cutting edges after each job; replace the drill when the margins show rounding or chipping that affects hole quality.

What limits continuous drilling with the Twister Xd 5X?

Heat buildup in the carbide body is the first limit; allow cooling periods to prevent edge degradation.

Does the 2XDSR3819A generate noticeable heat during all-day use?

The solid carbide construction conducts heat quickly, so the shank and workpiece become hot during sustained operation.
