Application & User

The M.A. Ford Cyclone Xd 5X double margin drill is engineered for precision holemaking in demanding materials. Professional machinists and fabricators use it when hole accuracy and tool life are critical.

Capacity & Headroom

The 5.60 mm cutting diameter suits close-tolerance drilling in steel, stainless and exotic alloys. The five-times-diameter flute length provides deep-hole reach while the double margin design maintains alignment until chip evacuation becomes the limiting factor.

Build Integration

The solid carbide construction allows higher cutting speeds without a separate holder system. It fits standard drill chucks and collets, freeing the spindle for other tooling while the double margins reduce the need for pilot holes or bushings.

Questions about this item

Will the 5.60 mm diameter fit the existing drill chuck on my older pillar drill?

The 5.60 mm shank fits any standard chuck that accepts 6 mm or 1/4 inch capacity, so it will mount in the chuck you already use.

How can I verify the Cyclone Xd 5X is cutting correctly after I install it?

Check for a consistent chip load, smooth hole walls and the double margin tracking straight without wandering or chatter.

Does the box include cutting fluid or a storage case for the 5.60 mm drill?

The package contains only the solid carbide drill bit; cutting fluid and a protective case must be purchased separately.
