Questions about this item

What shank diameter does the 1.40 mm Twister Micro-Tuff drill require in the chuck?

The drill has a 1.40 mm cutting diameter; the shank matches that size so a standard drill chuck that closes to 1.40 mm will hold it securely.

What is the correct peck-drilling step to avoid breaking the 1.40 mm flute?

Use short peck cycles — retract the drill every 1–2 mm of depth to clear chips and reduce heat build-up in the narrow flute.

When should the 1.40 mm Twister Micro-Tuff drill be replaced?

Replace it when the cutting edges show visible rounding, the drill walks on entry, or hole diameter exceeds tolerance for the application.
