Rugged Wireless Speaker with IP64 Protection

The M-Audio XT Extreme HX-P230 is a portable stereo speaker built for outdoor use. Its IP64-rated enclosure resists splashes, drops and dirt. A fold-out carabiner clips to packs or branches for hands-free carrying. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to eight hours of wireless play.

Suits Outdoor Listeners; Not for Fixed Installations

Hikers, campers and job-site workers gain a durable, battery-powered speaker with a built-in speakerphone for calls. Buyers who need mains-powered home audio or multi-room synchronisation should look at alternative systems. The single-unit design does not support stereo pairing or surround configurations.

Bluetooth Range Decides Placement Flexibility

Wireless streaming works up to 30 feet from the source device. A line-in connection is available for wired sources. The 30-foot radius determines how far the speaker can sit from a phone or tablet during use.

Questions about this item

Will the 30-foot Bluetooth range reach my phone if I keep it in my pocket while the speaker is clipped to my pack?

The speaker maintains a wireless connection up to 30 feet from the source device, so a phone in a pocket should stay connected while the unit is attached to a backpack via the carabiner.

How can I verify the IP64 splash-proof rating is holding up after a few outdoor trips?

Check that the port covers seal tightly and that no moisture or dust enters the charging or line-in openings after exposure to splashes or dirt.

Does the box include a USB wall charger or only the charge cord for the lithium-ion battery?

A USB charge cord is included; a separate USB power adapter is required to plug the cord into a wall outlet.
