Phase Monitor Relay for Three-Phase Protection
The Macromatic PCPU monitors phase reversal on three-phase lines from 190 to 500V AC. It mounts via an 8-pin octal base and carries a 10 A SPDT contact rated for 277V AC or 30V DC. Operating temperature reaches 149 Degrees F at 50/60 Hz.
Auto-Restart with One-Second Delay
The relay restarts automatically after a fault clears, using a fixed 1-second delay. This behaviour is built into the unit and requires no external timer or software configuration. The plug-in design allows quick replacement without rewiring the enclosure.
Suits Panels Needing Basic Phase-Loss Guarding
Installers protecting motors or pumps from phase reversal will find the voltage range and contact rating adequate. Buyers who need undervoltage, overvoltage or phase-loss detection should look at a more featured monitor. Those requiring DIN-rail mounting or programmable delays will need a different form factor.

Questions about this item
How many switching cycles before the relay contacts typically need replacement?
The relay is rated for 100,000 electrical operating cycles at 10 A, 277 V AC or 7 A, 30 V DC.
What is the first thermal limit reached during continuous operation?
The maximum operating temperature is 149 °F; sustained loads near 10 A at 50/60 Hz will approach this limit first.
How much heat does the relay dissipate when running all day under full load?
At the rated 40 VA maximum switching capacity and 10 A continuous current, the coil and contacts generate heat that must stay within the 149 °F ambient limit.
