Familiar shape with deep customization

The Mad Catz C.A.T. 7 is a wired PC game controller built around a familiar layout that adds extensive personalization. Configuration buttons let you remap multifunctional inputs and adjust the backlit action and HOME buttons. An integrated OLED display confirms the active mode at a glance, while ergonomic grips stay comfortable through long sessions. It ships with a USB-A to micro USB cable for immediate plug-and-play use.

Sustained comfort and mode stability

During extended play the ergonomic grips maintain their feel without forcing grip changes. The OLED display continues to show the current mode so you can verify settings without pausing. The X-D switch toggles between Windows Direct and X-input cleanly, keeping the input path stable for the duration of a session. Configuration changes made via the dedicated buttons persist until you alter them again.

Low thermal impact and simple power

As a wired controller it draws power directly over USB, eliminating battery management and keeping heat output negligible. No active cooling is present, so operation is silent in normal use. The single cable handles both data and power, reducing desk clutter and avoiding the weight of an internal cell. Power draw remains within standard USB limits for the device class.
