Precision for competitive play

The MAD CATZ R.A.T. 8+ is a gaming mouse built for players who demand exact control. Its 16000 DPI sensor delivers high tracking accuracy for fast-paced scenarios. Eleven programmable buttons allow extensive command mapping for complex titles. The design targets enthusiasts seeking a tailored fit.

Durability and consistent response

High-durability switches are rated for 50 million clicks, maintaining reliable actuation over extended use. The sensor provides instantaneous response without smoothing or acceleration artifacts. This construction ensures the mouse performs consistently during long sessions. No additional thermal or power considerations apply to this wired peripheral.

Adjustable ergonomics for your setup

The fully adjustable chassis lets you modify palm rest and thumb rest positions to match your grip style. This adaptability frees you from fixed-shell constraints and reduces strain during marathon play. Eleven buttons reduce keyboard dependency for in-game actions. Questions about this item

How do I install the R.A.T. 8+ and what step is often missed?

Plug the USB cable into a free port; the driver installs automatically, then open the software to assign the 11 programmable buttons before playing.

What part will need replacement after extended use?

The primary switches are rated for 50 million clicks; once they wear out the mouse will need servicing or replacement.

What limits sustained high-speed movement?

The 16000 DPI sensor caps maximum tracking speed; pushing beyond that rate causes cursor variance during long sessions.
