Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 Gaming Keyboard

The Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 is a wired USB keyboard designed for competitive gaming. It features a custom P.U.L.S.E. membrane key bed tuned for precise tactile feedback and five times the durability of traditional keyboards. Keys actuate at an optimized 60g force and reset quickly to reduce muscle fatigue during long sessions. Anti-ghosting supports up to seven simultaneous keystrokes for reliable input.

Gamers seeking responsive membrane keys

This keyboard suits players who want customizable backlighting, programmable macro keys, and a durable membrane design for genres like FPS, RPG, MMO, RTS, and MOBA. It pairs with Mad Catz R.A.T. mice for a combined setup. Buyers who prefer mechanical switches, wireless connectivity, or a tenkeyless form factor should look at something else.

Check USB port availability and software needs

Ensure your system has a free USB port for the wired connection. Verify that your operating system supports the customization software required for backlighting and macro programming. Confirm you have desk space for the full-size layout and the included removable wrist rest.

Questions about this item

Does the keyboard need any driver software to work on a PC with a USB port?

The S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 connects via USB and functions as a standard HID device, so no extra driver is required for basic typing and gaming.

Will the seven-key anti-ghosting limit cause missed inputs if I keep using an older keyboard for non-gaming tasks?

Anti-ghosting only applies to the S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 itself; your older keyboard handles its own rollover independently, so simultaneous use creates no conflict.

How can I confirm the 60 g actuation force is delivering the tactile feedback described?

Press several keys in rapid succession — consistent reset height and a crisp tactile bump without bottoming out indicate the membrane is performing to spec.
