Compact Inspection Mirror

The Mag-Mate 311 is a rectangular glass mirror measuring 1 by 1-1/2 inches mounted on a stainless steel spring plunger handle. It compresses to 11 inches for storage and offers 180-degree tilt adjustment for viewing around obstacles. The fixed shaft and flat surface suit quick visual checks in tight spaces.

Replaces Rigid Fixed Mirrors

Unlike a rigid hand mirror this model folds into its handle so it fits in a pocket or tool pouch. The spring plunger base locks the chosen angle without a separate tightening knob. The upgrade is worth it when you need one-handed angle changes while working under a dashboard or behind equipment.

For Mechanics And Hobbyists

Technicians who need a durable, pocket-sized mirror for indoor or outdoor inspections will find the glass surface and stainless handle resistant to solvents and weather. Buyers who want magnification, a telescoping shaft, integrated lighting or a larger viewing area should look at something else.

Questions about this item

Will the 1 by 1-1/2 inch rectangular glass mirror fit through the access hole I need to inspect?

The mirror face measures 1 inch wide by 1-1/2 inches long, so check your opening against those dimensions before ordering.

How do I set the mirror angle and lock it so it does not move during use?

Tilt the mirror up to 180 degrees, then engage the lock hinge to hold the position; the spring-plunger handle keeps tension while you tighten the hinge.

What part of the Mag-Mate 311 will wear out first and need replacement?

The glass mirror surface can scratch or crack over time; the stainless-steel handle and fixed shaft are durable, but the mirror itself is the consumable item.
